I have never done a plunge before - how does it work? Simple! Just arrive at the South Beach Boardwalk in front of the Vanderbuilt (300 Father Capodanno Blvd, Staten Island NY 10305) at 9am for check-in. Be sure to print-out the waiver below, sign it and bring it with you. Please note that if you are under 18, the waiver must be signed by your parent or guardian.
What should I wear? Wear a bathing suit with loose fitting clothes over it AND A PAIR OF OLD SNEAKERS! You'll keep the shoes on, when you enter the water. Have a beach towel handy for quick drying.
How Wet Do I Need To Get? That's totally up to you. You can dip your toe or your whole body, but most people just run in, splash around a bit and then run out.
Is There a Fee? There's no fee required, but it would be great if you could make a donation to the EB Research Foundation. The suggested donation is $25, but of course, you could always donate more! Just click the Donate Now button below.
Can I Get Other People To Sponsor Me? Sure! Just direct them here: https://charity.gofundme.com/donate/project/plunge-for-elodie-2020/lizzm and have them put your name on the "Comment, Memory, Tribute" line.
